But when you have thousands of people who are basically unemployable, mental ill and drug addicted (and many petty criminals) descending on a city that they’re not even from, what does one do? I live in Venice. My home is surrounded by homeless encampments. I’m sorry, but no one has the right to live on the beach in one of Los Angeles’ most in-demand neighborhoods. There are plenty neighborhoods in L.A. that are more affordable than Venice.
