Wonderful tips. I lost that last stubborn 20 pounds during the pandemic because I had time to walk every day. I listen to audiobooks to motivate me. It's amazing what just walking can do! I also bought an inexpensive treadmill for any days I couldn't go outside. I plopped it in front of the t.v.

The measuring food part was easy for me because I'm a type 1 diabetic so I've always had to measure my carbs to know how much insulin to take before each meal. But as you say, it must be done! Otherwise you're overeating. You can eat the healthiest food, but if you eat too much it defeats the purpose of eating healthy. I use the app, Lose It.

Lastly, I pay a personal trainer (she's an old friend so she gives me the friends and family rate). Weight training is vitally important. And, she keeps me accountable.

Here's the most important part: it takes a looooooong time. It took me two years but it has stayed off.
