We Have to Write Like This to Get the Attention We Deserve

Yesterday, I wanted to figure out where to hit the puck. Perhaps you’ve heard the now famous quote: “A good hockey player plays where the puck is, a great hockey player plays where the puck is going to be.” ~Wayne Gretzky

I used that quote in a recent piece about using sports wisdom for business. I reinterpreted it as not hitting the puck where your teammate is, but where your teammate is going to be.

I’m usually hard on myself and my writing, but I think that post should get more attention. Sometimes I really do come up with worthy ideas.

Anyway, with this concept in mind, I asked my partner, Dennis, what he thought, or where he thought the next important platform, or way of communication and connecting will be in the near future.

Where should I hit the puck?

Dennis didn’t answer my question exactly, but he spoke more about where the country and the world are headed: run by strong, independent women (he thinks I should write a book about that). Sounds good, so maybe, maybe not.

We also discussed sports, technology and medicine, none of which I consider myself confidently adept at discussing.
