I believe that the progressives need to come up a celebrity politician of their own, but one that is smart and compassionate and believes in science. It has to be someone who will do the right thing. Then we can set things straight again. I think almost any of the 2020 Presidential candidates can achieve it. It just takes charisma (which almost all of them have), and a lot of media coverage. As the field winnows down, I think that will happen.
