Beautifully written, Mayor Pete, and it all rings true, although when your kids are older you forget about those difficult early days. And it's a good thing we forget or everyone would stop after their first child, ha, ha. My first child had asthma and we spent so many weeks in and out of the hospital under a tent. Congratulations and I wouldn't worry at all about how you raise them. It doesn't really matter in the end as long as they have a lot of love. I'm sure you and Chasten will manage that just fine.
